Kristen Hughes, CPA

Kristen has been an accountant for almost 20 years, and has a strong variety of experience. She graduated with a BBA in Accounting from Sam Houston State University and is a licensed Texas CPA. 

 

Kristen started her career in audit at Deloitte in Houston, but quickly made her way to Austin! She has experience auditing public and private companies and 401k plans, preparing small business and personal tax returns, educating both the general public and accounting professionals. She most recently worked for five years in-house at a local Non-Profit.

 

Kristen has a servant’s heart and truly enjoys working in client service. She believes there is no greater joy than helping her clients become empowered and unafraid of their business's finances. She prides herself on being an approachable, knowledgeable advisor, and loves sharing her knowledge with others. She enjoys making hard things easy—like implementing accounting systems; assisting with federal, state, and local taxes; and advising on finances & bookkeeping. 

 

In her free time, Kristen enjoys spending time with family, working on her house, trying to keep plants alive, and doing DIY projects.
