Nora Sugar

Nora found her accounting passion in a rather non-traditional way through being an educator. After working as a teacher, she fell in love with bookkeeping and finance and decided to pursue a master’s degree in accounting. This route allowed her to engage with socially constructed, people-centric research and gain experience in the accounting work force.

Nora received her master’s in accounting from Western Carolina University. She began her accounting career in public accounting as an auditor and then transitioned into industry through the private sector. Her client experience is varied, ranging from non-profit to public companies. She understands the full accounting cycle from all different perspectives. She is excited to combine her teaching and people skills with her accounting skills! Helping companies learn, grow, and become more efficient in their accounting process is something Nora truly enjoys and takes pride in.

A North Carolina native, Nora relocated to Central Texas in 2021 for a change of pace and to become a part of the accounting industry that Austin offered.​ In her free time, Nora enjoys doing activities with her dog, seeing live music, being outdoors, and doing yoga. She loves to experiment in the kitchen with extra spicy recipes!
